Dr. Atul N. C Peters

Director

Dr. Peters is a world-renowned bariatric, minimal access, and robotic surgeon who serves as the visionary Director of MERA VADA. Passionate about sharing his skills and experience with the next generation of surgeons, Dr. Peters leads the NGO in providing Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, workshops, and webinars designed to enhance the expertise of healthcare professionals. Under his leadership, the foundation offers training, fellowship, and research opportunities for young, budding surgeons, fostering a community of skilled medical practitioners. Beyond his contributions to the medical fraternity, Dr. Peters is deeply committed to using his knowledge to benefit the common man. He is also a strong advocate for girl child education, driving initiatives that make quality education accessible and empowering for young girls. Dr. Yogesh Gautam

Co-Director

Dr. Yogesh Gautam is one of the pioneers to bring Minimal Access Surgery in India and has trained more than 100 surgical students under his guidance. He serves as the co-director of Mera Vada. With a focus on capacity building, Dr. Gautam leads various initiatives, including Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, hands-on workshops, and insightful webinars designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals. He is also committed to fostering research and training opportunities for young surgeons, helping them thrive in their medical careers. Beyond the medical field, Dr. Gautam passionately supports the NGO’s mission to promote girl child education, striving to ensure every girl has the chance to learn, grow, and succeed.

Dr. Beena Arora

General Secretary

Dr. Beena is a nutrition expert with a Ph.D. focused on the nutritional profile and quality of life of obese patients. Passionate about promoting healthier lifestyles, she uses her expertise to conduct nutrition-related activities, support groups, workshops, webinars, and blogs that benefit both the medical fraternity and the general public. Her dedication and strategic vision are central to MERA VADA's growth and impact, where she plays a crucial role in planning and executing CME programs, workshops, and training opportunities for young surgeons. Her efforts in healthcare education and community outreach are instrumental in advancing the NGO’s mission to empower underserved communities and support girl child education.
Dr. Shalabh Aggarwal

Treasurer

Dr. Shalabh is a skilled GI surgeon with extensive experience in general and laparoscopic surgery. He has a strong interest in data management and the monitoring of clinical outcomes. His passion for continuous academic growth significantly benefits the NGO, where he plays a key role in organizing various educational activities, such as CME programs, workshops, and webinars for healthcare professionals. In his role as Treasurer of MERA VADA, Dr. Shalabh is responsible for overseeing the financial management of the organization. His keen eye for detail and data-driven approach ensures transparency and effective allocation of resources, supporting the NGO's initiatives and helping expand its impact. Dr. Mala Gautam

Dr. Mala is a dedicated gynecologist with deep insight into the nutritional and medical challenges faced by women, especially those deprived of basic healthcare, education, and awareness. She plays a crucial role in shaping the NGO’s initiatives by leveraging her expertise to address the medical and nutritional needs of girls and women. Dr. Mala is actively involved in organizing CME programs, workshops, and fellowship opportunities to support young surgeons. She is particularly passionate about advocating for girl child education and health, leading efforts to provide medical support, nutrition guidance, and health awareness to young girls. Dr. Neerja Chandna Peters

Dr. Neerja brings a unique blend of compassion and creativity to the organization. After 23 years of a successful medical career, she chose to dedicate her life to art, channeling her passion into transformative community work. Dr. Neerja conducts art classes for underprivileged children, using creativity as a tool for empowerment and expression. She also remains committed to her roots in medicine by providing medical care and support to underserved communities. Her innovative approach in merging art, education, and healthcare enriches MERA VADA's mission to empower.
Ms. Nalini Massey

Ms. Nalini excels in coordination and operational management. Her role involves liaising with participants and doctors to ensure the seamless execution of CME programs, workshops, and fellowships. Ms. Nalini is also responsible for managing infrastructure and handling various office tasks, ensuring that all aspects of the organization run smoothly. Mr. Anurag Arora

Mr. Anurag brings extensive administrative experience to the organization. He is the Manager for Administration in Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya and Nehru Planetarium in Delhi. Passionate about education, he is dedicated to developing programs for underprivileged children and young girls. His strong administrative skills help MERA VADA effectively manage its educational initiatives, outreach programs, and operational strategies, ensuring they reach and impact the communities that need them most.
